Designer: Steffie Christiaens When: February 28th, 2012 Dutch designer, Steffie Christiaens, was the assistant to Nicolas Ghesquière at Balenciaga for years. As you can imagine, people tend to focus on this aspect of her career, but she doesn't seem to mind. She first made a name for herself when her spring 2012 line made its debut in Paris. Her designs have been described as “futuristic” and “experimental” and are generally very well received. So for now, people may still refer to her as the girl from Balenciaga, but it won't be long before she stands on her own. [Photo via]
