Designer: Balmain When: March 1st, 2012 This fashion house founded by Pierre Balmain has been around since the end of WWII. After the death of Pierre, Erik Mortensen took over the reins in 1982. Followed by Oscar de la Renta from 1993-2002. Fast forward a few years (and creative leaders) and Balmain has become increasingly popular with celebrities, fashion magazines, and trendsetters. For this reason you can always expect to see Balmain knockoffs shortly after their latest collection has been shown.
