Viktor & Rolf
As Gaultier did, Viktor & Rolf decided to quit doing Ready-to-Wear so they could spend all of their time and energy on the Haute Couture collection. The latest collection is named "Wearable Art" and it definitely lives up to its name. The designers wanted to give a new answer to the ongoing question whether fashion should be consider art to be hanged on a wall or to dress a human being. They think fashion should be both, an outstanding piece can be worn to the most high class event or be shown at a museum. It does not have to be one or the other and Viktor & Rolf are making sure they can show that with their clothing - and succeeding at it.
