When You Want To Get Trashed In A Classy Setting: Le Carmen
If I had to describe Le Carmen in one word, it would be decadent. Housed in the former mansion of French music composer Georges Bizet in the Pigalle area, you barely even notice the human-sized bird cage at the entrance because of the exquisite boudoir-style details on the walls, ceilings and furniture. Surprisingly laid-back, the soundtrack at Le Carmen is provided by DJs of any and every genre, making this place a regular hang for flocks of M.O.D.'s sipping drinks off the non-existent cocktail menu. Adding to Le Carmen's charm is their weekly boozy book club, where the DJ will be present spinning tunes to compliment your literature du jour. Playing host to this year's Balmain and Vivienne Westwood after parties, this is a guaranteed place to see some beautiful people.
