For Fist-Pumping With The French: VIP Room
In French class, you learn the outdated word
discothéque to refer to a club, but with dramatic mood lighting, big name DJ's spinning and two whole levels of bottle service tables, this place absolutely fits the definition of a modern day discothéque. Housed across from the Louvre in the late La Palace, which was Paris' answer to Studio 54 back in day, there's almost always a line wrapping around the corner. You'll learn quickly to bring some big euro bills, because word on the street is the bouncers don't even blink at €50's. One way to beat the line is to dine at the VIP room adjoining restaurant La Gioia and slink into the club well past midnight.
