Yesterday, Fader Fort sponsored by Converse kicked off their SXSW schedule with live performances by Troy Noka, White Arrows, Django Django, Young L, Friends, Oberhofer, Santigold, Danny Brown, and with DJ sets Jazz One, Nick Catchdubs, and Nguzunguzu. 2 Chainz was supposed to play, but was found shopping for Converse in the VIP section, and apparently didn't know he was supposed to play a set. Bushmill's honey whiskey and Budweiser were served for free, and Roberta's pizza had a portable oven baking up Brooklyn goodness.
Santigold stole the show with her back up dancers, costume changes, and whimsical theatrics.
She brought a few lucky fans on stage to dance along with her, and naturally they were stoked on life...
Oberhofer, an up-and-coming indie pop rock band, opened for the singer, and got the crowd warmed up.
