Dev Hynes' latest solo adventure resulted in the gem of an album Coastal Grooves, which dropped in August, and is basically the perfect album for when you are in the mood for a little late night groovin'. He started off in the band Test Icicles (when he was 16), then started a solo project as Lightspeed Champion, and now plays as Blood Orange. He has collaborated with Theophilus London, Mia Moretti, Solange Knowles, Florence and the Machine, Chris Taylor (of Grizzly Bear and CANT) among many other bands, and when he performs he is reminiscent of some kind of magnificent young Michael Jackson/Prince figure -- a good show fo' sho' that you shouldn't miss.
He will be performing Wednesday, March 14th at Haven. [Details]
