What: Etsy, an Online Bazaar for handmade, vintage goods
Where: Dumbo, Brooklyn
The people behind the Etsy office design are the vendors on the site. From drapes to cabinets, most everything in the office was decorated by Etsy artists. The company encourages workers to customize their workspace by giving them $100 each to decorate their own space. The office has London's red telephone boxes, an owl office mascot made out of trash, and an in-house kitchen that provides local, organic lunches. The 100 or so workers at the Etsy "labs" in Brooklyn worked with the architects to design their funky office with the
company vision in mind.
