Patti Davis

Patti Davis
Father: Ronald Reagan, 40th President Years in White House: 1981-1989 S.S. Code Name: Ribbon Patti Davis was known as the "black sheep" of the Reagan family. An unabashed liberal, she publicly disagreed with her father on many issues, including gay rights, abortion, and nuclear arms, and went so far as to change her last name from Reagan to her mother's surname, Davis. In time, Patti came to reconcile with her father, particularly as her family struggled with Ronald's onset of Alzheimer's disease. An actress, Davis studied drama at the University of Southern California, and has acted in a number of popular '80s television shows -- The Love Boat, CHiPs, and the soap opera Rituals. She's also written a number of books, including The Long Goodbye and Angels Don't Die: My Father's Gift of Faith. [Patti Davis, Ronald Reagan via]
