Tubbataha, Philippines
Declared by
UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and deemed the global center for marine biodiversity, you can expect to see some pretty spectacular things in Tubbataha. A series of extinct underwater volcanoes make up this reef, which is what gives it the unique formation. While the majority of the reef has remained underwater and serves as home to over 1,000 different marine species, parts of the volcano remnants have formed surrounding atolls. On top of the rich collection of species and natural formations, you will also be wowed by the sheer size and growth of reefs and marine life, particularly because this perfect ecosystem has allowed species to live a longer life.
