The Great Barrier Reef is a bucket list-worthy destination for many reasons, not least because it is the world’s largest coral reef, home to 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands, over a span of 133,000 square miles. Here is where you can see some of the world’s most impressive marine species, including humpback whales, dwarf minke whales, dolphins, turtles, seahorses, and giant clams - amongst many more colorful things. What’s more, in the saltwater marsh areas of the reef, you can also see crocodiles. You are essentially treated to every being that the water has to offer when you visit the area. What's especially amazing is that you are visiting a place that can be seen from outer space!
