If I could tie for #1 spot, Filicudi island would be my second choice for favorite. Something about pulling up to this quiet little town in the middle of the sea is beyond magical. It's so glamorous, in the most non-pretentious manner. You feel like you're in the middle of a movie set in the 50s, and Jackie O is going to pop out around the corner at any minute. Also, this restaurant is a favorite of artist Maurizio Cattelan's, who was so in love with the place he bought a stake in it!
You may recognize the name La Sirena, it means "The Siren," after the femme fatale from Greek classic literature who seduced sailors to the shore with her song and beauty, only for the sailors to shipwreck. The restaurant's food, hosts, ambiance and simplicity would compete with the Siren's beauty. It's my top choice for must stop places in the Mediterranean Sea. Check out my photos below:

Arriving to the island - you will find no giant yachts in the harbor here - the small shore only allows for tiny fishing boats and small motorboats:

Can't you just picture Jackie O here?
