On Saturday night, country singer Amy Wilcox debuted her CD to a packed house at Hill Country BBQ Market in Penn Quarter. Amy, 25, came to DC fresh of Nashville, where she has spent the last few years performing at the iconic 3rd and Lindsley. She's worked with some of the best writers in the industry, and with producer Alan Bennett, developed an EP that is filled with unforgettable songs that prove she is here to stay. Amy's warm, honest voice captivated the audience of country music fans for the duration of the evening.
Amy gets her country roots from all over the southeast. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to a Texan family, and was raised in Arlington, Virginia. While she was an undergrad at Vanderbilt, she sang for their competitive female a capella group, the Swingin' Dores.
