Last night, CharityChicks US, a philanthropic connector for young professionals, hosted their Cycle for Survival team kick off party at the Four Seasons in Georgetown. Cycle for Survival is an annual indoor spinning event that raises money for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, the premiere center for rare cancer research.
Bourbon Steak made the ladies a specialty cocktail called "Celebrity Cycle" made of Saint Germain and champagne, and served black truffle popcorn, lobster corn dogs, and Swedish meatballs in a cozy, conversational setting. Team CharityChicksUS participated last year, and is backed this year with a carefully selected Host Committee comprised of successful entrepreneurs, Harvard hotties, philanthropists, socialites, and even Miss DC! More importantly, all of the women selected are leaders in their community and have demonstrated a firm commitment to lead team CharityChicksUS in reaching their $5,000.00 fundraising goal.
The 2013 Host Committee includes: Elizabeth Kane (Founder, CharityChicks US), Angie Jusino (President, The Madison), Heather Darazs (Vice President, The Madison), Alexzandra Shade (CDO of Mentor Foundation) Gayela Bynum (Founder of We Will Survive Cancer), Sarah Elizabeth Hillware (Miss DC), Annie Sorenson Eser (Entrepreneur), Carleigh Smith, Brittney Ann Cardillo, Shadan Sayed, Michelle Melvin Johnstone, Janelle Anderson (Blogger, A Girl That Travels), Sanam Toosi, Carolyn Dooley, Jennifer Pierotti (Health Care Policy Director, US Chamber of Commerce), Leah Margaret Davis, Maggie Wilcox, Maura McGroarty, Carly Jane Zapernick (Harvard Business School), Alexandra K. Bono (PWC), and Sophie Pyle (Guest of a Guest).
