If you are in search of the perfect handbag with a custom look that won’t break the bank, look no further! This past weekend, we were guests at the Danielle Nicole X CUSP by Neiman Marcus holiday trunk show, where we had the pleasure of meeting talented designer, Danielle DiFerdinando, and got the inside scoop on her anticipated holiday collection!
On Sunday, November 16th, DC taste-makers and style VIPs gathered at the CUSP store in Georgetown to shop for a cause at the Danielle Nicole holiday trunk show. Maryland native, Danielle DiFerdinando is the founder and creative director of Danielle Nicole handbags. The namesake brand establishes a fresh, versatile collection of contemporary handbags made elegantly from luxe leather alternative materials, all retailing under $100! The young designer, who has been featured in publications such as Lucky magazine and InStyle, and has caught the eye of celebrities such as super model Alessandra Ambrosio, is a style revolutionary in the making.
Guests were greeted by Danielle as they arrived at the coveted Georgetown shop, and welcomed to a more than atheistically pleasing display of colorful DN handbags and assorted cupcakes by DC’s own Georgetown Cupcakes. Guests also had the opportunity to engage in stylist conversation with Danielle and to learn more about the current collection, all while enjoying some desserts. Guests also posed for photos in front of the Dress for Success sponsored step-and-repeat. Dress for Success, the global non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women, teamed up with DN handbags for this exclusive event. For each bag sold, a handbag will be donated to the Dress for Success foundation bringing to life the meaning of “shop for a cause."
Together with parent company, Artisan House, Danielle Nicole has always been committed to giving back, and is involved with charities of all kinds. In addition to the charitable giveaway, Danielle debuted her new “Name the Next Bag” contest! The contest gave guests the opportunity to have one of Danielle Nicole’s Fall 2015 Collection handbags named after them. The contest winner will receive their namesake bag for free as a prize when the full collection is released. Trunk show guests included Dominick Fink, Miss DC Teen USA, Hilary Phelps of Genuine Joy, Kate McBreen, VP of communications and public affairs at the National Retail Federation, and ABC 7 News – WJLA news anchor Sonya Gavankar.
