Last night, Dupont Circle's favorite kitchen and cocktail bar One Lounge hosted a soft kick-off event for their weekly Sunset Set, live jazz Tuesdays with The Pete Muldoon Band. This is the new Tuesday spot to be in DC for jazz.
The local jazz trio features Pete Muldoon on guitar, Eric Wheeler on bass and Lena Seikaly on vocals, "one of Washington's brightest young voices in jazz," according to the Washington Post.
Owners Seth McClelland and Niko Papademetriou celebrated their first jazz night with notable friends of the restaurant including NBC 4's John Schriffen, KStreetKate's Kate Michael, Washington Life Magazine's Michael Clements and his wife Anchyi Wei and Luxxery Medical Spa's Hiba Hakki among others.
Additionally, the restaurant opened its doors for the first time this week to a buzzing weekday lunch crowd, catering to the circle's robust community of businesses, shops and embassy employees that frequent the restaurant’s happy hour, dinner and late-night scene. Already a favorite DC night-time spot, One Lounge now emerges on the scene as DC's newest lunch and smooth jazz space.
