Renaissance Hotels' 'Day Of Discovery'

In continuation with R Life Live at Renaissance Hotels, there were two great events at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View and the Renaissance Dupont Circle. The events were a part of the 24-hour "Day of Discovery" series. The series had 152 Renaissance hotels all over the world hosting unique artists and musical acts to help guests and locals discover something new.

At the Dupont location [1143 New Hampshire Avenue NW, DC], the party kicked off at 6:30pm with music by Once Okay Twice. There was a comedy conceptual by the Pink Line Project, a unique hybrid of performance art, stand-up comedy, philosophy and mass media culture. Secret menu items and insider tips on local restaurants were revealed by food writer Nevin Martell.

At the Renaissance Arlington Capital View [2800 South Potomac Avenue, Arlington], the night began with a wine tasting with Marcus Johnson's Flo Wines from California. The winery just began cultivating wine from their grapes about a month ago. While sipping on wine, unique live music from Bravenoise filled the lobby and bar with a mix of pop hooks, heavy grooves, and flavors of reggae, latin and rock.
