StreetWise Partners' 5th Annual Taste Of Success

Last night, StreetWise Partners hosted 400 guests at the Carnegie Institute for Science for the 5th Annual Taste of Success. StreetWise Partners is a nonprofit that seeks to facilitate low income adults' transition into fulfilling careers.

Lonita Sheppard and Ghaith Zaker, graduates of the program, each shared moving stories about their experiences to a room full of junior committee members. Both felt like they were stuck in a rut and wanted more out of life, so StreetWise Partners helped Lonita apply for jobs in the competitive 2012 market, and Ghaith was coached on American business culture before landing an IT career.

The event featured bites and bevs from Circa, Smith & Wollensky, Hill Country, Starr Hill, Tito's Vodka, Maple, Farnese Wines, Luke's Lobster, Izze, and a host of other top tier sponsors. There was also a DJ and a raffle for gift cards at participating restaurants.
