The Friends Of Rigby Foundation's 8th Annual Ball

by Laura Fels · April 23, 2012

Saturday night, the Friends of Rigby Foundation hosted the 8th Annual Rigby Ball where young and classy guests dressed to the nines to support the foundation and to celebrate the conclusion of the annual Run for Rigby Weekend.

Georgetown students, alumni, friends and family gathered for the sold-out event at the National Press Club Ballroom to enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres and take advantage of the flowing open bar. A favorite event among Georgetown upperclassmen, the live band set the tone for a fun filled evening while partygoers hit the dance floor to break it down all night long!

The Rigby Foundation is a public charity whose purpose is to further the memory of Daniel H. Rigby, specifically as it relates to promoting fire safety, education and community activism among students. Guests pinned on Rigby awareness ribbons upon arrival to the event to show their support.

While the event concluded at midnight, the party moved to popular Georgetown bars to keep the night young. Even so, we had so much fun at this party for a purpose, we wish we could have stayed at the ball until dawn!
