“RETROSPECTIVE OF TWELVE YEARS AS WASHINGTON POST'S EDITORIAL CARTOONIST"

When: Friday, January 23 | 8PM Where: Ritz-Carlton Georgetown Why: This solo exhibition does more than showcase a talented artist’s repertoire. It engages a conversation on social change. Art Soiree presents 5th Annual Political Cartoon Exhibit featuring Tom Toles of The Washington Post. Tom Toles, whom has served as cartoonist at the Washington Post for the past twelve years, unveils his solo retrospective to the public this weekend. Along with works from the established artist’s repertoire, the exhibition will also include a live musical performance by his band, Suspicious Package. Indeed the timing of the pop-up event couldn’t be more coincidental, as it will also cast awareness to Charlie Hebdo—which will see a percentage of proceeds from the event.
