Tucked inside a restored brownstone south of Dupont Circle, this multilevel lounge can be easily missed by an uninformed passerby. Only noticeable when the bouncer takes his post, the unmarked door leads patrons "above the mattress store" to a setting of shabby-chic couches, bottle service, and beautiful faces. During the warmer months, 18th Street Lounge is especially popular amongst Washingtonians for its outdoor deck located in back of the bar. Always busy but still spacious, this Connecticut corridor rooftop has a wide drink selection and some seating available for those lucky enough to snag chairs. And as they usually have a DJ playing upstairs, 18th Street Lounge is just as great for dancing as it is people watching.
