George had two parties last night. They kicked off with a fundraiser for DC Ward 2 Councilmember Jack Evans. He gave a quick speech about how lucky we are to live in DC in such a bad economy. "More grads are moving to DC than ever before, looking for jobs," he said.

We arrived right at the wedgie of this event and the proceeding UVA alumni happy hour, so there were a couple UVA alumni but a lot of Jack Evans fans right at 9 p.m.
