Other details: On the evening of Thursday, Sept. 4th, 1500 guests attended Dîner en Blanc Washington that took place at the beautiful Yards Park in Capitol Riverfront in Washington, D.C. Guests arrived at the park around 6pm creating a wave-like sea of white from chairs, table cloths, clothing, and bottles of Moet. The chic picnic dinner which brought out some of the most stylish all white ensembles began with the ceremonial waving of the white dinner napkins, which signaled the dinner's start. After about an hour of dinning and mingling, a domino effect lighting of sparklers at every table across the Yard were lit concluding the dinner portion of the evening. After the sparklers were blown out, guest continued to party and dance the night away until about 10pm when the crowd began to slowly disperse. The global epicurean impromptu picnic hosted by local organizers Linda Davis, Bryer Davis and Justin Ross promotes friendship, gallantry and the coming together of a community. Fifty cities around the world will have hosted DEB by the end of 2014, including New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, Montreal, Vancouver, Philadelphia and Sydney. Dîner en Blanc Washington was proudly sponsored by Möet Ice Imperial, the world's first-ever champagne created to be enjoyed on ice.
