Other Details: On Wednesday, November 18 Connect113 welcomed some of DC’s most prominent self-made women for a night of networking and discussion. The ‘Miss Empowered’ panel event featured female entrepreneurs who pursued their passion, becoming advocates for social change. The panelists included Tigerlily Foundation Founder and Bliss Magazine publisher Maimah Karmo, Sarah Elizabeth Hillware, Girls Health Ed. - Changing Girls' Lives founder and America's Miss DC 2012, Ashley (Boalch) Darby, Miss DC 2011 and philanthropist, Eve Monica, founder of Sips with Socialites, and lastly Lindsey Mask, founder of Ladies America. The insightful session was moderated by Glenda Fu, founder of Dreams For Kids DC. Guests were treated to complimentary themed cocktails and desserts, as they listened to the panelists speak on entrepreneurship and charity.
