Other details: On Saturday, December 20, for the third year in a row, the Capital Ball brought together the top young professionals from the Washington DC area to help benefit and celebrate the non profit, Intsikelelo, launched to help orphaned, HIV infected, homeless, abused, and neglected children in South Africa by improving care, education and living conditions for these children. Nearly 1,000 individuals came out to the black-tie gala to support the incredible cause. This year, the sold out event featured light hors d'oeuvres served by partners Sweetgreen and Le Pain Quotidien, and a full service open bar. Guests took the dance floor in the lovely Andrew Mellon Auditorium, as they enjoyed live music by The Music City Toppers. The Capital Ball has successful created the opportunity for young, like-minded people in Washington to come together to network and support their community.
