Other details: On Tuesday, December 2, more than 400 people attended Ted Turner's portrait reveal at DC's National Gallery museum. Guests included current and former CNN employees, leaders from the non-profit sector, social entrepreneurs, and impact investors. Turner's family members were also in attendance including his son, Rhett Lee Turner, daughter, Laura Turner Seydel, Laura's husband Rutherford Seydel, and Turner's grandson, John R. Seydel. Rhett, Laura and John R spoke on behalf of Ted while other speakers included Tom Wheeler, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, Michael Finley, President of the Turner Foundation, Kim Sajet, Director of National Portrait Gallery, and Judy Woodruff, Managing Editor of PBS NewsHour, to name a few. Joe Friedman, the artist of Turner's portrait, was also in attendance.
