October 25th. Event Chair Maria Coakley David, Executive Director Susannah Moss and presenting sponsor, Fred Astaire Dance Studio DC, welcomed over 200 guests to Dupont Circle hotspot The Huxley for the gala celebration. Dance enthusiasts and community leaders alike enjoyed a complimentary open bar and light hors d'oeuvres while mingling with the local celebrities competing for the coveted 2014 DC's Dancing Champion Trophy. DC's Dancing Stars gala will bring together members of the community to generate thousands of dollars to support local charities, including The Washington Humane Society, Girls Health Ed, T.A.P.S, Hope for Henry Foundation, Parkinson Foundation and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Guests were given the chance to show support for their favorite dancing stars by donating at pop-up voting booths throughout the soiree.
