The Details: Washington, DC returned to SXSW to showcase the local side of a federal city. Washington, DC’s presence at SXSW each year is led by the Washington DC Economic Partnership (WDCEP) to support DC’s effort to expand its technology sector, provide a platform to promote its innovative startup companies, and foster new partnerships among the DC and national business community. For the past four years, WDCEP organizes and facilitates DC’s on-the-ground presence at the popular conference with a variety of private and public sector partners to coordinate a strong comprehensive marketing campaign promoting DC as a thriving creative and technology center.
