GofGDC's First Pop-Up Party At Marvin

Last night we headed over to U Street's Marvin for GofGDC's first Pop-Up party! We've been unimpressed by D.C.'s late-night enthusiasm on Mondays, but last night's outing to Marvin proved our skepticism wrong. Marvin is most definitely the place to be and be seen on Mondays, and boy are we glad we went.

With no flashy signs and just the name 'Marvin' on the door, patrons may easily walk right past the hip U Street Lounge. When we did find Marvin, the downstairs lounge area was completely empty but the music pumping from the upstairs section gave us hope that this Pop-Up Party would be a success. The Marvin Gaye inspired spot welcomed all personalities last night as the upstairs portion provided dance-worthy beats and the rooftop beer garden gave the more subdued crowd a place to hang.
