About the Chef: Saad Jallad, an American University alum, found his love of the food industry when he began selling crepes out of his dorm room. A short time afterwards he opened Crepeaway in 2004 - a restaurant and catering company located in the heart of Foggy Bottom. Crepeaway is a creperie originally based out of a family operated eatery in Athens, Greece. Being a huge hit with college students, young professionals, and more, Jallad decided to open a second restaurant focused on salads and sandwiches, all made from fresh ingredients from Europe. Jallad opened Sugar Bar DC earlier this month with hopes of bringing a vibrant European energy to DC.
