Last night, TTR Sotheby's hosted a reception with ArtSee to welcome Brian Petro and his artwork into their chic Chevy Chase offices. ArtSee provides DC-based artists a platform and opportunities to showcase their work, and connecting Brian Petro's bold Supermarket Series and Roman Series with the artsy friends of TTR Sotheby's was a winning combination.
Petro's Supermarket Series is a mixed media swirl of bright supermarket snippets (tags, labels and prices) against fresh fruits and colorblocking. His Roman Series included colorblocked photos of Roman statues and architecture. His work will be on display at their offices until September 24, 2012.
Guests enjoyed cocktails and light bites with TTR Sotheby's founders Jonathan Taylor and Michael Rankin; ArtSee's Elizabeth Grazioli; members of the media including Washington Life's Ben Droz; other members of the TTRSIR team; and of course, Brian Petro himself.
