[The White House Correspondents' Garden Brunch]
Washington's elite decided to start the night eight hours ahead of schedule. The 2010 White House Correspondents Garden Brunch hosted by Tammy Haddad and Ted Greenberg, Hilary Rosen, David Adler, Jim Courtovich, Alex Castellanos, Debra Lee, Steve McMahan and Franco Nuschese is an Annual "see and be seen" affair that brought out stars like Chace Crawford, Matthew Morrison and the Jonas Brothers to mingle with the chairmen and political officers, business people and journalists that run our country.
"Hey, nice to meet you, what do you do?"
"Um, I'm the chairman of the FCC. You?"
"I'm one of the stars of 'Gossip Girl.'"
"Cool."
"Yeah. Cool."
Washington DC is undoubtedly a unique social field, and with the weekend's dinner drawing a smorgasbord of people into town, the rules of the game are getting ever more confusing. "Who you know" is, much like the impenetrable door at say, the Boom Boom Room in NYC, the key to your social success. And, parties like the Vanity Fair after party tonight are becoming a benchmark for who's who in this town.
After countless pre-parties, the actual dinner will commence at 8pm at the Washington Hilton Hotel and will be followed by more parties including the BIG ticket: Vanity Fair and Bloomberg private after party at the French Ambassador's Residence.
