Love Letters

As long as guests are getting campy, they may as well get crafty. For a sentimental touch that's not too eye-roll inducing, set up a collage corner with paper and pencil for guests to scribble 'love letters' for the bride to be.

Perhaps it's a piece of advice, a short, sweet anecdote about old times you can't believe are that old, or a hilarious cautionary warning as to the frustrating hilarity of binding your life to that of another's till death do you part.

Either way, it's a much better alternative to the all too often cringe-worthy set of speeches people often feel the need to make at events such as this.

Yes, still expect the unavoidable champagne soaked marital musings of your second cousin, or often in bad taste humor of your best friend.  At least they won't be loudly broadcast. And hey, the few notes that do pass the standard's and practices test are as good as scrapbook gold.
