Gourmet Spread
Sticking with a woodland theme, there is no better, no more competent nor perfect a culinary curator than our personal favorite cateress, Chef Deena. The long dramatic dining table, the kitchen counter, the outdoor patio, each surface was ripe with a rustic, abundant spread of farm-to-table fare as delicious to the eye as to the taste.
Creating a sprawling garden of gourmet delights is a beautiful way to fill a space with color and deliciously appoint every corner.
Mismatched platters brimming with a rambling assortment of easy to eat hors d'oeuvres is exactly the way to go. No serving utensils needed, guests should feel free to go all fingers in, breaking bread, cheese, crudité and more as casually as all get up. After all, there's something about the formality of forks, knives, and dare we even say, serving spoons, that just makes you feel that at any moment some dreadfully awkward buffet line is about to form.
Food tumbling upon every fair-game space, keep the flow of the event smooth by sprinkling plenty of peckish choices. Aside from your more substantial charcuterie selection of cheeses, veggies, fruit, and spreads, fill boards with mounds of nuts, olives, and dried fruits. Quick, simple, and you wouldn't believe how mental people go over candied ginger and dried mango.
No one doesn't appreciate a cheese plate. No one. Lactose tolerant or not.
