George Bush Doesn't Care
Before Kanye was Kanye, he was a humble, “Pink Polo Wearing” rapper who was known solely for his musical career rather than his antagonistic outbursts in the wrong setting. Fast forward to NBC’s Red Cross TV fundraiser for Hurricane Katrina where Mike Myers and Kanye spoke about the need for everyone to help the victims of the tragic disaster. In true Kanye fashion, he skipped the pre-approved teleprompter script and veered off into his own rant of the media’s bias portrayal of black victims - while Myers awkwardly stares ahead - and closed his short commentary with a presidential dig that only Kanye could get away with: “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”
