A Glass of Orange Juice

Store-bought orange juice, even if it indicates '100% orange juice,' has been highly processed to maintain the flavor. Your glass of Minute Maid or Tropicana OJ has between 22 and 24g of sugar in it. That's only 1g away from your total recommended sugar intake for the entire day. Forget the bran muffin or granola you eat with it...bye bye recommended sugar intake. On the other hand, although it's still very sweet and tasty, fresh OJ contains natural sugars that boost your metabolism, and nutrients that are lost in processed OJ. Might want to invest in a juice machine!
