Our Favorite Ice Cream: Mashti Malone's
If you were setting foot in the sketchy-ass strip mall on La Brea and Sunset for the first time, you might think the most addictive thing for sale would be sold by the tweakers in the parking lot. And while that's probably in contention, the prize has got to go to Mashti Malone's, a Persian-owned ice cream palace that specializes in unique Iranian ice cream flavors (think rosewater, saffron and cardamom) that are refreshing, distinct and altogether awesome. Go for one of their sandwiches, layered between crispy wafers, and see for yourself.
