Tiesto has DJ'd major events like the 2004 summer Olympics opening ceremony in Athens and was even nominated for a Grammy in 2008. He got his start DJing local school parties when he was 14, and his career sprung off from there as Tiesto began working with Moby, David Bowie, and Busta Rhymes. DJ Tiesto engages his music with his philanthropic efforts. He has played at major charity events, such as his 2004 showcase to raise money for victims of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami. During his sets, DJ Tiesto is welcomed by crowds accumulated of thousands of roaring fans, all waving their hands in praise of this #1 DJ whose work has gone global and landed him the spot as the world's wealthiest DJ.
