Classification Bouillabaisse at Ana Cristea Gallery

Classification Bouillabaisse at Ana Cristea Gallery
A group exhibit featuring the paintings of Razvan Boar, George Little and James Viscardi will open at Ana Cristea Gallery on May 16. Exploring the fluidity of classification, the juxtaposed pieces challenge the distinction between figurative and abstract art, dissolving the differences between them as the artistry of the works themselves emerges as the crux. From Boar's minimalist representations of the human body, to Little's layered depictions of food, to Viscardi's tongue-in-cheek takes on pop culture, the pieces invite viewers to discern the art of everyday life. When: May 16-June 22 Where: Ana Cristea Gallery, 521 West 26th Street [Photo via]
