The Dos And Don'ts Of Being A NYU Freshman

Don't get wasted and get lost in the West Village within the first 3 days. Been there, done that. The roads don't make sense, you are still learning how to flag down cabs, you have no idea how to take a subway. I had to have someone (four years later he's my boyfriend) come find me and bring me home. It's not fun and it's dangerous. And don't rely on Campus Safety for anything. They have all this bull crap everywhere how Safe Ride will come pick you up with you feel unsafe - it's all baloney! It takes about 3 hours and they are super strict about how far they can drive you. But the East Village is fine to get wasted in - it's pretty easy to navigate because it's all letters and numbers. [Photo via]
