Favorite Food Destinations?
Jamison Blankenship (owner): I love Roberta’s, Pizza Emily, Bun-Ker Vietnamese. I cook at home a lot, though. Emily’s actually has the best burger, I think. Ridiculously good.
I like to buy food from the market at Grand Army Plaza during the Spring and Summer. But, of course, I’m as loyal to Whole Foods as any New Yorker.
Michael (head chef): Lafayette Bakery in the city has the best croissant in New York. I’m sorry to all the tiny bakeries around here, but it’s true! I’d also agree with Jamison about Emily’s for pizza, it’s so fresh and local.
Kowichi (waiter): Branded in Clinton Hill is a great spot for beer and chicken. New York is great for bars with food but it’s also a huge problem for someone like me who can’t control themselves. I had pizza at 5am last night…it was bad. Le Gamin has beautiful food. Go there for moules frites, their fries are the best in town!
