s10Don’t focus on your weight so much as your body composition. Try to maintain a routine day to day without stepping on the scale. It helps to build long term habits. JH: We all get caught in the number on the scale and while it can be a simple heuristic, distribution of weight and body fat are the most important. Holding on to weight around the midsection has serious health risks and when you begin to lose inches and body fat your weight will drop but not as drastic as you often think. This is why “only” a 6 lb loss in weight can lead to this transformation. Trust in the process, checking your weight everyday can often be discouraging.
