When I first moved to NYC my parents were uncertain how long I would last and refused to help me get an apartment.

At a family dinner when I had lasted two weeks, they struck a deal with my cousin that I could sleep in her daughter's playroom if I watched her two nights per week. BUT I had to pack every day like I didn’t live there.

Let's just say it wasn’t what I envisioned as far as glamourous NYC living….
