Estela is a small Mediterranean/Spanish inspired tapas restaurant located in the trendy NoHo neighborhood. The space is intimate and cozy and the menu consists mainly of small plates that are meant to be shared, making it a great date spot. At the helm of the kitchen is chef Ignacio Matto, who cut his teeth at acclaimed establishments Chez Panisse and Il Bucco, and the food here reflects his refined and strangely sensual style of cooking. The burrata with salsa verde and charred bread and the cod with blue foot mushrooms, potato and spinach were among some of our favorites.
