Lido

Lido
Named after the sandbar in Venice that hosts the Venice Film Festival, Lido is a little island of West Harlem that serves up very respectful Italian. For starters, the chicken liver with pickled onion is worth the courage. For cheeses, Lido has Risotto rice balls stuffed with Gorgonzola in a spicy tomato sauce. But where Lido really takes off is with their Gnocchi in a truffle butter and their Garganelli pasta with braised wild boar in red wine. Not only does the place have a communal feel--like every Italian restaurant should--Lido offers four and five course wine tastings as well. Lido- 2168 Frederick Douglass Bldvd, Harlem, NY [Photo via]
