Ginny's Supper Club

Ginny's Supper Club
Ginny's has remained true to West Harlem through the changes. It's like stepping into a part of Harlem in the 1920s, in a good way. Located in the basement, it's a perfect place to start or end the night. The place is lively, with DJs and the occasional big name act. Along with the speakeasy feel, it has the old school supper club menu and decor (baked Alaska, lobster Thermidor), but doesn't stray far with BoBo Chicken and waffles. However, the best time to go remains post-dinner, when you can order a "Harlem Mule" (Japanese whiskey, ginger, basil, Peychaud bitters) or the Powell (peach and pecan bourbon, sloe gin, lemon), neither of which are available at Red Rooster. The beer and wine list has too much room for improvement, but the music and the feel of being thrown back to the old days of Harlem makes Ginny's a must visit.
