Known for its exhaustive 900 item menu and its quirky and eccentric shop owner Kenny Shopsin, Shopsin's is an iconic NYC dining institution that was the subject of a documentary film by Matt Mahurin called "I Like Killing Flies." Despite the long and undeniably confusing menu format and Kenny Shopsin's erratic and hot-tempered nature, diners continue to flock to this tiny food stall to sample the chef's creative take on class diner dishes. Some favorites include the famous "Slutty Cakes," pumpkin pancakes with peanut butter, Mac and Cheese pancakes and "Blisters on my sisters," a spin on Huervos Rancheros.
