AIM was the original Tinder. You would develop a crush on a boy and it turned out the boy would be talking to seven other girls in your grade while he was flirting with you. But this didn't even matter because you wouldn't even talk to each other IRL (that's an acronym for "in real life" BTW, which is an acronym for "by the way"). If you think about it, AIM is the origin of fuckboys.
