Though SXSW is best known for its sheer size of musical acts (over 2,200!), an equally unforgettable part of the Austin festival series is its tech showcase, known as SXSW Interactive. Brands and developers from all over come together to present their ideas, introducing their audience to emerging technology that more often than not seems straight out of a sic-fi flick. The hundreds of speakers, trade shows, and parties provide a staggering amount of mind-boggling inventions, from what surely will be the next big thing to ridiculous luxuries you never knew you needed until now.
