How did you and Rachel first come together to work on this showcase?
Rachel and I met in person for the first time last year at SXSW. I had her do a piece for an event I was throwing called, “Sincerely, Sent from my iPhone” but because of the chaotic nature of the festival, we didn’t get to hang out much in person and continued our friendship online.
In December, Rachel shot me a message asking if I was going to SXSW and mentioned wanting to throw an event or put something together. We discussed our frustrations with the festival in general and how stressful, exclusive and generally uninviting events of this nature end up being. One thing led to another, and we came up with “Into You.”
